About Us

We love heritage buildings and we are advocates of inner city regeneration and neighbourhood-based living.

We are fortunate to own a range of centrally located historic properties in Dunedin and Auckland that we have lovingly restored to offer our tenants quality, furnished rental accommodation at a reasonable rate.

We support locally-owned businesses.

About Dunedin

Dunedin is one of the most perfectly preserved Victorian-era colonial cities. At the heart of the city is The Octagon, an eight-sided domain alive with restaurants and bars known for their outdoor seating. St Paul's Anglican Cathedral dominates its upper section which is also home to the Town Hall, an 1886 statue of Robbie Burns and the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. The Regent Theatre is the crowning glory of the Octagon's lower reaches. These beloved landmarks provide some of the local colour on our homepage.

When the University of Otago opened its doors in 1869 their student roll numbered in the hundreds. Today the University is the city’s main employer. It boasts more than 21,000 students and has the enviable reputation of New Zealand's leading research University. Tertiary students account for one fifth of the city’s current population and this inspires a camaraderie and youthfulness which pervades the entire city. Fashion and creativity thrives in Dunedin which has been home to a significant number of acclaimed authors and artists including Frances Hodgkins, Colin McCahon and Ralph Hotere. In March each year you can enjoy Id Fashion Fashion Week and watch models showcase clothing by local labels like NOMd along the platform of Dunedin's historic bluestone Railway Station. There is a lot to like about Dunedin. Aside from the lack of traffic jams and the Otago Farmers' Market on a Saturday morning, the locals are genuinely friendly.
